World: Africa - in the NE from N Tanzania and NE Zaire to Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Sudan. There are scattered records from the N of the continent as far W as Chad. Kenya: Occurs mostly in the W, S of 2°N. Its distribution in Kenya represents the eastern most limit of its range. This is a small, plain warbler of savanna and acacia woodland. It particularly favours Acacia xanthophloea and Acacia abyssinica in which pairs or small groups forage. It is inconspicuous in its habits although it will join mix-species flocks for feeding. |
