The species has also been introduced to western Australia Kenya: A common and abundant Dove across all of Kenya below 1800m A dry country dove occurring in thornbush, acacia woodland, gardens and cultivation usually within 10km of water. It can be easily distinguished from the other dry country members of the genus which have a dark half-collar, while the European Turtle Dove which is occasionally noted in Kenya has a black and white marking on the side of the neck |
