World: Occurs in a band between 7°N and 17°N then through East Africa southwards to about 15°S where its range once again extends westwards to Angola and south through South Africa Kenya: This is a widespread Hornbill of bush country over much of the southern part of the Kenya, with only isolated occurrences in the North-East It is quite easily distinguished from the other Hornbills by its long white stripe running from above the eye to the nape. The male (pictured above) also has a large whitish patch on the upper part of the bill |
