World: Africa: Widespread S of 20°N except in drier areas of Somalia and the interior of the SW.

Kenya: Widespread up to 3000m especially around habitations. Less common in the drier northern and eastern regions.

An omnivorous bird which is present in all urban areas. Easily distinguished from the White-necked Raven by its smaller size, white breast and smaller bill. Usually seen in pairs or small flocks except when roosting, when they congregate in large numbers.
