World: Found in the lowlands of e,s Africa, from eastern South Africa N through Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi to Tanzania and se Kenya. Kenya: Widely distributed everywhere except the arid eastern regions. This is a shy but noisy warbler which inhabits dense vegetation and forest undergrowth, typically in deciduous and evergreen forest. It makes its pocket-shaped nest from 2 large leaves which it pierces at the edges and then sews together using bark fibre and cobwebs. |
