World: Pretty much everywhere in the world except Antarctica. Including wintering areas it's found in Europe, Asia, North America, Africa, Australia and South America Kenya: Found throughout Kenya, although less common in the dry north-eastern areas. A Palearctic migrant which is usually seen from August to May, but is occasionally seen throughout the year at higher altitudes. It's usually seen in flocks and large numbers roost together in swamps or reedbeds. Looks similar to the Angola and Ethiopian Swallows but is the only one of the three with a complete breastband. |
